Gift of the Magi

This week the Cardinals are in town to play 3 games against the Nationals. Being the awesome girlfriend that I am, I agreed to go to all 3 games with the boyfriend. A few nights ago, when we were hanging out at my house he said that he was going to buy me a Cardinals shirt to wear to the game. Little did he know that I was a step ahead of him, and had already purchased not 1 but 2 shirts to wear! After I told him that he didn't need to buy me a shirt because I already had bought something to wear, he proclaimed that it was just like the story the Gift of the Magi.
